I'm new to Pickleball, how do I get started? 

Check our Where to Play page and our Calendar to find a location and time that suits you. There's no need to register, just come along to any of our sessions except the ones that say "restricted" or "invitation only". We supply all the equipment and there will always be someone available to get you started. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear for court play and bring a credit / debit card as we don't accept cash. Sessions typically run for two hours. Always check the calendar before you head out to ensure the session is going ahead.

How much does it cost to play?

At Pickleball SA we keep playing costs low. For new players your first session is only $5. After that sessions cost between $10 and $13 per session depending on the venue. If you become a member of PIckleball SA or are a member of another State Pickleball Association then the fee is between $5 and $8 for a two-hour session. Click on the relevant Calendar entry to find the specific costs for that playing session.

Do I need to be a member to play at Pickleball SA sessions?

Non-members are welcome at any of our sessions, although we do restrict a few sessions to members only. Please check the relevant entry in the Calendar. However session fees are higher for non-members and only members can play in sanctioned tournaments and other Pickleball SA competitive events. Check the Membership page for more information on the benefits of becoming a member.

Why don't you have more evening or weekend sessions?

We do have a limited number of evening or weekend sessions so check the Calendar for details. We'd love to be able to offer more evening and weekend sessions but we struggle to find venues that are available and have the appropriate facilities. We are in discussion with various venues and local councils to try and improve this situation.

I want to play with a group of friends, where can we play?

You are welcome to come to any of our playing sessions to join in with everyone else. Alternatively if you wish to play privately then for indoor play please contact one of our Affiliated Venues as they will be able to offer the equipment you need along with the court hire. For outdoor play you can book online at Blair Athol Racquet Sports Hub who have 8 outdoor courts along with Pickleball equipment available to hire.
