FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm new to Pickleball, how do I get started? 

Check our Where to Play page to find a session run by one of our clubs or venues. For most sessions there's no need to register, just come along. We supply all the equipment and there will always be someone available to get you started. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear for court play and bring a credit / debit card as we don't accept cash. Sessions typically run for two hours.

Do I need to book or register for a playing session?

There's no need to register, just come along to any of our sessions except the ones that say "restricted" or "invitation only". More information can be found by clicking on the calendar entry for the relevant playing session.

I'm visiting Adelaide, where can I play?

Check our Where to Play page and click on any of the map pins to find a link to the club or venue website. to find a location and time that suits you. All our clubs have information on their websites about playing times, venue locations costs etc. 

I live in xxxxxxx suburb, where can I play?

Check the map on our Where to Play page to find a location and time that suits you. More information can be found by clicking on the map pin for the relevant location.

How much does it cost to play?

Typically most clubs and venues charge between $5 and $15 for a 2 hour session depending on the venue and whether or not you are a member.

Do I need to be a member of a club or Pickleball SA to play at organised sessions?

Non-members are welcome at most sessions, although a few are restricted  to members only. However session fees are typically higher for non-members and only members can play in sanctioned tournaments and other Pickleball SA competitive events. Check the Membership page for more information on the benefits of becoming a member.

Why don't you have more evening or weekend sessions?

There are a number of evening or weekend sessions run by our clubs. We'd love to be able to offer more but it is difficult to find venues that are available at these peak times. We are in discussion with various venues and local councils to try and improve this situation.

I want to play with a group of friends, where can we play?

You are welcome to come to any of the social playing sessions to join in with everyone else. Alternatively if you wish to play privately then check out our Courts for Hire / Public Use page for information on where you can play.
